Statistics show the monthly change in the all-items index was 0.1 percent, rising from 147.2 in October to 147.4 in November.

There were price rises in household appliances, and slight increases in food and rent.

The cost of dairy products, fruit and vegetable, in particular, went up.

Fuel and power, meanwhile, was the sole sector which recorded a monthly decrease in November, down by 1.5 percent.

The cost of electricity fell by 1.8 percent.

In the other sectors, transport and vehicles, education, recreation and reading, health and personal care, tobacco and liquor each rose by 0.1 percent.

Clothing and footwear prices, however, remained unchanged.
