Internal audit value focus for panel debate
Managing expectations in the current financial and economic climate will be among several topics up for debate at the Bermuda Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IAA) annual panel discussion held today.
The event, which precedes the IIA's Annual General Meeting and will be hosted at Butterfield Bank's Rosebank Building, will focus on 'An Executive's Perspective - How Internal Audit Can Continue to Deliver Value in a Challenging Environment'.
The line for the panel includes John Kephart, president and CEO of Capital G Ltd., Sarah Farrington, CEO of Conyers Dill & Pearman, and Jim Tait, executive vice-president of Alterra Capital, alongside moderator Keith Bernhard, director of internal audit at Alterra Capital.
Other subjects covered will include what and how to prioritise the services, deliverables and focus of the internal audit functions, how to measure success and internal audit's role in Solvency II, the Bermuda Monetary Authority and similar regulations, as well as its function in business acquisitions, combinations and related due diligence.
Report expectations of management and the audit committee and how to increase the internal audit's benefits will also be discussed.
