Investors in wound-up Emerald Financial Ltd.'s Strategic Growth Fund and High Income Fund have got back more than 90 percent of their money.

Official Receiver and Registrar of Companies Stephen Lowe said that Strategic Growth Fund investors were given a distribution that represented 94.7 percent of the last net asset value quoted before the fund was taken over by liquidators. High Income Fund investors received a distribution that represented a return of 95.8 percent of their investment principal.

The most recent distribution to investors in the High Income Fund was made last week, so not all investors may have received these payments yet.

Meanwhile creditors of both funds have received or are expecting to receive 100 percent of the money due to them.

A statement from the Official Receiver, via its agents KPMG Advisory Ltd., read: "A great deal of investor funds have now been returned to Emerald clients but the Official Receiver's work continues to realise and distribute any further asset recoveries.

"The Official Receiver is empowered under various Orders of the Supreme Court of Bermuda to administer the estates of the various Emerald companies over which he is appointed and he does not need to go back to court unless there are matters for the court to consider. There are no such matters pending and there is therefore no further hearing scheduled at the present time. It is not possible to say at this stage when the various appointments will be concluded."

The Official Receiver's investigations regarding property investment partnership EFG International Realty LP 1 are ongoing.

Those investors who placed money and investments through Emerald Financial Ltd. as a broker, or using Emerald's online trading platform, Directrade, have been dealing directly with Emerald's custodian, Pershing LLC, to receive their monies and/or investments back and it is understood that most former Emerald clients have now concluded this process.
