Senior executives, professionals and entrepreneurs will get tips on taking their leadership skills to the next level at a seminar held next month.

The one-day interactive workshop, which is custom-designed to help motivate staff more effectively, will be hosted by leadership expert John Mitchell at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess hotel on Thursday, June 18, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Mr. Mitchell, who designed this seminar following local research and meeting with 100 of Bermuda's business leaders last month, is an established thought-leader on business leadership and culture, whose consultancy clients range from corporate companies such as Nestlé, Degussa and Microsoft to international banks, including Deutsche Bank, ABN AMRO and UBS, and law firms like Allen & Overy.

His book 'Vision at Work' was published by McGraw Hill in 1995 and reprinted in 1997. Educated at Oxford University, Mr. Mitchell obtained 12 years' hands-on business experience before setting up his own consultancy practice in 1988.

Since then he has researched and developed practical leadership skills and tools and promises the participants in this workshop will learn how to implement powerful, definite ideas and approaches for motivating staff and will leave with a concrete plan for applying these at work.

The workshop costs $447 per person, which includes a networking lunch at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
