LONDON - Britain's top share index edged higher as miners and oil stocks buoyed by firmer commodity prices lent support, though with investors nervous before the Group of 20 leaders' meeting at the end of the week. The FTSE 100 closed at 5,142.6 points, up 8.24 or 0.16 percent.
