Ironshore Inc. has appointed former American International Group (AIG) executive Anthony Mammolite as executive vice-president of its US property unit.

In his new role, Mr. Mammolite will provide strategic direction and oversight in the development of Ironshore's US property operations.

Ironshore's property unit focuses on broker-sourced specialty commercial business. Mr. Mammolite will be based in New York and report to John Murphy, worldwide head of Ironshore's property operations.

Mr. Mammolite brings more than 35 years of underwriting and field marketing positions, including more than 20 years in property lines. Most recently, he served as senior vice-president of property for Lexington Insurance Co. Prior to that, he held various senior level management positions for AIG in the greater New York area.
