Mello Jones & Martin (MJM) has appointed law-library expert and knowledge manager Susan Crysler as library and information-services manager.

Ms Crysler, from British Columbia, will manage the MJM library and information centre, including legal research and reference services. She will also deliver a legal training programme for print and electronic resources to the firm's attorneys and pupils.

Prior to joining MJM, Ms Crysler most recently served as director of library services for McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada's first national law firm and a top Canadian integrated law-firm management. She simultaneously served as McCarthy Tétrault's manager of firm-wide library projects, a role in which she provided leadership to librarians across Canada in four major cities. She worked with the firm for 19 years. She is a member of the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians, Canadian Association of Law Libraries and the American Association of Law Libraries.
