North Rock attends ARIN conference
North Rock Communications will be flying the flag for Bermuda when it takes part in the ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) Caribbean Sector Meeting held in Bridgetown, Barbados this week.
The meeting, which runs from today until Thursday, will allow the telecommunications provider to participate in Internet number resource policy discussions and make contributions as part of the Internet community.
North Rock will also attend tutorials on such topics as the Caribbean Telecommunications Union and the IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) event.
Vicki Coelho, general manager of North Rock, said: "We are pleased to be the only telecommunications provider from Bermuda attending conference.
"Internet Protocol Version 6 is the next generation of Internet addressing. The present system is now more than 20 years old. IPv6 represents a major leap forward for the Internet and users."
