original location, the store's vice president Vivian Smatt said yesterday.

She said the previous upper Reid Street location just was not viable.

"Customers felt the Reid Street location was inconvenient so we moved back to Canal Lane in Mills Creek.'' With the move, PriceBusters will have significantly more space and fewer parking problems, she added.

"We will continue to carry all the major lines of products we had at Reid Street. The major change will be focusing on a wide range of appliances,'' Mrs. Smatt said.

PriceBusters commenced operations in 1991 and had operated out of its Reid Street location for two years.

The biggest challenge in the recent move had been getting the Reid Street location's telephone number transferred to the Mills Creek store, she added.

The business had been attempting to transfer the number to the new location since January 6, Mrs. Smatt said. In the interim, calls to PriceBusters were being call forwarded to the Smatt family's home.

"I think this needs to be brought to the public's attention. This is affecting my business,'' she said.

She said PriceBusters was seriously considering a contest where customers picked the day and time when the requested phone service would be operational.
