What is your job? My job is to assist and take care of the daily support and troubleshooting with all software and computers. This includes telephones, desktops, photocopy machines, TVs and printers. Also to ensure all daily tasks like company backups are done successfully.

What is your favourite part of the job? My favourite part of the job is helping users understand and resolve computer issues when in need of assistance. I enjoy learning more about the systems and operations at Tuckers Point which makes me more knowledgeable. My managers and co-workers are easygoing and understanding, which makes me feel comfortable working with them. Also, the fact that I don't have to be confined to a computer desk, in a cubical all day is absolutely spectacular to me!

What is your least favourite part of the job? My least favourite part of this job is when I have to help someone ungrateful and very discourteous. But I still do my job wearing a smile no matter what!

What is your most interesting experience at work? I have had many experiences at Tucker's Point. Getting ready for the opening of the hotel in April 2009 was an experience all on its own. I remember one of the preparations included coming into work at 12.30 a.m. (on a Wednesday) to take servers from one side of the campus and to bring them into the new server room up at the hotel. This task took us like three hours to complete, mind you; we didn't have to make 9 a.m.! Nevertheless, when going to a guest's room to give technical support, I never know what to expect, but so far I have met some pretty nice and 'interesting' people. All around, I love my job in the IT Department at Tucker's Point Hotel & Spa!

What would you be doing otherwise? If I didn't have this job, I would be attending university to further my knowledge in technical support and networking. I am very grateful that I have this opportunity to learn and make money doing something that I love to do.
