Stocks in overall decline
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock exhange fell 112.20 (2.58 percent) last week to close Friday at 4,334.45.
Butterfield Bank shares saw the most trading in volume with 30,785 shares changing hands last week. Butterfield ended the week at $14.30, a $0.20 drop.
Bermuda Commercial Bank shares fell $0.75 over the week, closing at $9.25 after 1,500 shares were traded.
Both insurance stocks on the index — Argus and BF&M — fell last week with Argus dropping to $14, a 3.44 percent decline, and BF&M closing at $18 after falling $1.75 (7.45 percent) over the week.
Bermuda Press Holdings shares lost $1 (7.40 percent) over the course of the week, closing at $12.50.
Also slipping were Bermuda Aviation Services ($0.75 to close at $5.50) and Bermuda Container Line ($0.25 to close at $11).
Belco shares closed out the week at $19.05 after 19,000 shares changed hands, a net change of $0.05.
KeyTech shares fel,l however, closing at $12.25 for a $0.75 (5.76 percent) decline.
Devonshire Industries also lost $0.50 last week, closing at $13.
