Role: Freelance Graphic Designer and Event Researcher

What is your job? I am a freelance graphic designer and event researcher. I specialise in web and print design services for small businesses and independent artists. I am the event researcher for the following companies: The Bermuda Department of Tourism, This Week in Bermuda and The Bermuda Directory.

What is your favourite part of the job? I enjoy starting new projects and love finishing them. Working with different people on each project is exciting and the material involved is always changing. I recently redesigned the Bermuda Business Directory and This Week In Bermuda's websites, which was great because I worked with existing content and spiced things up while keeping both sites extremely user friendly.

What is your least favourite part of the job? Many evenings and weekends I find myself working inside if I haven't met a deadline or find that I have taken on too much work.

What is your most interesting experience at work? I am painting a Bermuda Business Directory chair for the Masterworks charity auction fundraiser. I have put a lot of thought into it and can't wait to see how it will turn out. I love any hands on jobs, painting, building, etc.

What would you be doing otherwise? I have a strong passion for photography and although I am not pursuing it as part of my career at this time in my life, I wouldn't rule it out for the future.
