Role: Payroll administrator, Expertise Ltd.

What is your job? I have recently spread my wings and joined the payroll services division where I assist in the administration of compensation, benefits, and general payroll services. Prior to this I was part of the immigration services team.

What is your favourite part of the job? I would have to say my favourite part is being able to work with a team and the satisfaction I feel by providing clients with quality. As a company on a whole, we work hard and play hard together. The company culture is second to none. I also have opportunities for growth and development which is hard to come by with many companies.

What is your least favourite part of the job? I cannot say this is my least favourite, but perhaps one of the most challenging aspects of the job is the attention to detail and accountability required to do this job. I mean let's face it...you can't mess with people's pay!

What is your most interesting experience at work? One of the most interesting experiences I have had was presenting to college students at the BIBA College Networking Event last summer. This enabled me to meet and talk with college students and recent graduates and find out where their interests lie. I was also able to gain insight into their perceptions of the job market in Bermuda and provide them with feedback about potential job opportunities that exist for them.

What would you be doing otherwise? It's hard to say. I would probably be in a similar role in human resources.
