What is your job? I create accounting/insurance applications that a person uses on their computer.

What is your favourite part of the job?

There are several things I enjoy about being a developer but I'll only mention a few. That little pop of joy when you write an elegant solution to a problem. That proud and relieving moment when I finally get something working that I've spent days or weeks creating. And being able to represent Marsh in any way.

What is your least favourite part of the job?

Getting a call from a user that something that I created isn't working.

What is your most interesting experience at work?

Being able to travel overseas to train employees to use our main accounting/insurance application.

What would you be doing otherwise?

If I had chosen a different career it would be architecture or advertising. I love designing things; so whether I'm designing a programming solution to a problem, designing the layout of a building or designing an ad to represent a client, I would still enjoy my work.
