Title: Senior financial analyst, Bacardi Ltd.

What is your job? As one of three senior financial analysts of Bacardi Ltd. - Global Finance team, my role is to process volume and financial submissions from various subsidiaries; upload monthly foreign exchange rates; analyse the advertising and promotional expense; analyse the group company investments variance to reconcile to the balance sheet; assist with Sarbanes-Oxley testing key controls; prepare monthly financial statements.

What is your favourite part of the job? Building relationships with colleagues across the globe - Asia Pacific, Europe, North and South America. In addition, taking on new tasks and successfully completing them.

What is your least favourite part of the job? There is no part of my job that I dislike - every aspect brings its own opportunity and challenge. The ability to learn from a mistake allows for career development and future success.

What is your most interesting experience at work? "Tea Time" - have you ever worked in a department where the entire team goes for tea/coffee/soda? The conversations cover all topics (including work) and the break encourages team building and a unified spirit within our group.

What would you be doing otherwise? Travelling the world with my husband and daughter (camera in hand!).
