Title: Marketing assistant, Bacardi International Ltd.

What is your job? Co-ordinate local events for Bacardi International Ltd., assist with projects and issues relating to building/premises and recently involved with a global event for Bacardi Ltd. in Barcelona, Spain.

What is your favourite part of the job? Co-ordinating corporate events at an executive level. Visualising what the event should look like and work towards developing that vision. Looking after all the small details most people wouldn't even think of. I like the challenge of not knowing how it all will turn out and then getting positive feedback on how well it actually turned out. Every event is a learning experience. Exploring new venues to hold top level classy events always tickles my fancy.

What is your least favourite part of the job? There really isn't one - the long hours are part of the job.

What is you most interesting experience at work? I like working with the movers and shakers of the company and of Bermuda as well as meeting interesting people from around the globe and catering to their needs. Interesting part of my job is meeting customers' requests like hiring private boat charters, or meeting them on their arrival on private planes. Solving difficult situations when "Murphy's Law" calls. This is where knowing all the right people and not being afraid to speak really helps.

What would you be doing otherwise? I would like to run a non-profit organisation like Meals on Wheels and extend it to offer breakfast to kids in all public schools. This has been something I have wanted to do for a while.
