Age: 36

What is your job? My key responsibilities are to develop profitable retail lending products and provide adjudication on loans and mortgages. In addition to that I have the responsibility of recruiting, managing and training Consumer Credit employees.

What is your favourite part of the job? Working with the staff within Consumer Credit and being able to implement products that would be beneficial to the bank and its customers. I also enjoy the relationships that are built and maintained with various individuals, organisations and businesses within the industry.

What is the least favourite part of the job? The least favourite part of my job is when a credit application has to be turned down. However, we try to turn a negative into a positive by advising clients how they can qualify for a loan in the future. When I see them coming back next time and they are successful, it's also one of the best parts of my job!

What is your most interesting experience at work? Being exposed to the wealth of information that a bank provides and being able to inform our customers about how we can better assist them to realise their financial dreams. I also had the opportunity of attending an overseas seminar regarding banking, with individuals from various countries. That was a great experience.
