Local stocks climbed yesterday as Watlington Waterworks Ltd. surged 9.1 percent.The water company climbed $1, on the trading of 1,000 shares, to close on $12.Butterfield Bank was the only other share to rise, gaining five cents, or 1.3 percent, to $4, on a volume of 3,580 shares.

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and Ascendant Group Ltd. also traded lightly, without changing value.
The Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) Index rose 10.61 points, or 0.5 percent, to 2,125.28. Volume was 4,630 shares and turnover was $26,557.50.
The BSX Insurance Index of the Island's leading international insurance companies rose 7.23 points, or 0.7 percent, to 967.2.
