Young Bermudian launches new online Lovit Boutique
Bermudian Jenia Thompson is to open a new online clothes and accessories outlet, to be called the Lovit Boutique.
Ms Thompson said her aim was to attract shoppers who wanted to buy classy apparel at an affordable price.
"I've always had a passion for fashion," said 27-year-old Ms Thompson.
Her inspiration to launch her own boutique came from her own shopping experiences on the Island and hearing what friends wanted to buy.
"There is a definite need for a place in Bermuda where successful ladies of any age, who simply have a flair for fashion, can shop," Ms Thompson said.
"This boutique will feature designers from across the globe aim to supply what consumers want; a classy work wardrobe, a chic evening collection and one-of-a-kind casual pieces."
Although several Front Street stores offered classy goods, the pricing put them out of the reach of many consumers, Ms Thompson said. And she wants to offer a more affordable choice.
The Lovit Boutique online store will take orders and keep in touch with customers primarily by e-mail.
Among the brands Ms Thompson will stock are clothes by LNA, of California; jewellery by Swiss company Phantasya and Sugarlime, of Canada; and handbags by Meli Melo, of the UK and Italy, and Meli Bianco, of California.
Ms Thompson will hold a grand opening for the Lovit Boutique on June 27, at the G-135 Gallery at 135 Front Street, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
