Argus on the rise

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. and Watlington Waterworks Ltd. were the biggest movers and shakers on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.

Argus rose $1.50 (17.64 percent) to $10, while Watlington fell five cents (0.47 percent) to $11. They both traded 2,000 and 200 shares respectively.

Other big traders included Butterfield Bank (5,662 common shares and 95 preference shares) BF&M Ltd. (2,500 shares) and the Ascendant Group Ltd. (614 shares). All of their share prices held firm.

Overall the Index was up 56.71 points (2.38 percent) at 2,374.43, with 10,976 shares worth BD$100,217.10 and 95 shares worth US$116,540 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Indexell 4.58 points (0.48 percent) to 944.58.
