Argus on the rise

Argus Group Holdings Ltd. saw its share price soar by $1.50, or 17.6 percent, to $10 on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The insurer traded 700 shares, while Butterfield Bank's common shares also rose five cents, or one percent, to $5.05, with 1,032 shares traded and the bank also saw 27 preference shares worth $1,250 each change hands.

Watlington Waterworks Ltd., however, fell five cents, or 0.5 percent, to $10.50, as 200 shares were traded.

The Index rose 65.44 points (2.82 percent) to 2,383.17, with 1,932 shares worth BD$14,311.60 changing hands and 27 shares worth US$33,075 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index was also up 10.99 points, or 1.06 percent, at 958.84.
