Ascendant climbs

The Ascendant Group Ltd. bounced back from its recent decline, rising 1.81 percent (25 cents) to $14 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.
The utilities firm traded 138 shares during the day.
Butterfield Bank also climbed 3.57 percent (five cents) to $1.45, as 8,000 shares changed hands.
The only other trader was BF&M Ltd., which transacted 4,800 shares, but its share price held firm at $13.
The Index, as a whole, edged up 26.12 points (2.14 percent) to 1,244.25.
The BSX Insurance Index dropped one point (0.1 percent) to close at 952.
