The Ascendant Group Ltd. rose 25 cents (1.66 percent) to $15.25 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The utilities company traded 500 shares during the day.

Other traders included Bermuda Container Line Ltd., which saw 4,100 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $12, while Watlington Waterworks Ltd. also transacted 900 shares to open and close at $11.

Butterfield Bank, meanwhile, traded 200 commons shares, however its share value remained unchanged at $3.90.

The Index, as a whole, was up 4.57 points (0.22 percent) at 2,099.93, as 5,700 shares worth $67,505 changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, slipped 26.13 points (2.71 percent) to 936.79.
