The Ascendant Group Ltd. dropped 6.5 percent (95 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday to close at $13.60.

The utilities company traded 1,400 shares during the day.

The only other trader was Butterfield Bank, which saw 7,300 shares change hands, as it closed down 5.4 percent (10 cents) at $1.75.

Overall the Index dipped 56.6 points (3.86 percent) to 1,394.47, with 12,900 shares worth BD$7,300 and 19,040 worth US$12,900 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 10 points (1.06 percent) at 951.
