The Ascendant Group Ltd. rose 10.34 percent ($1.50) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The utilities group traded 20,000 shares to close at $16, as did KeyTech Ltd., which climbed 0.68 percent (five cents) to $7.30.

Butterfield Bank was the only other trader, with 20,100 shares worth $1.47 each changing hands.

The Index, as a whole, increased 13.8 points (1.1 percent) to 1,272.19, as 60,100 shares worth $485,632 were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, slipped five points (0.49 percent) to 1,009.
