BCB advances 70%

Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. rose 70.45 percent ($3.10) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.
The bank traded 3,500 shares to close at $7.50.
Butterfield Bank also traded 36,100 common shares and 110 preference shares, but both of their values held firm.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd., meanwhile, saw 24 shares change hands, as it opened and closed at $8.50.
Overall, the Index rose 31.86 points (1.58 percent) to 2,051.62, with 39,624 shares worth BD$157,704 and 110 shares worth US$135,376.11 transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index, however, dropped 0.04 points to 962.06.
