Bermuda Container Line Ltd. saw its shares price rise 8.36 percent ($1.05) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) the day the company announced its nine-monthly financial results.

The shipping company closed the day at $13.60, with 1,200 shares traded.

But Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. dropped 3.84 percent (50 cents) to $12.50, as 200 shares changed hands.

Butterfield Bank also declined 6.66 percent (25 cents) to $3.50, with 16,100 shares transacted.

The Index, as a whole, dropped 39.29 points (1.9 percent) to 2,026.74, with 17,500 shares worth BD$75,630 and 1,900 shares worth US$20,995 traded.

The BSX Insurance Index also fell 9.52 points (one percent) to 937.43.
