Bermuda Container Line Ltd. saw its share price slump by 20.41 percent ($2.45) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange yesterday.

The transportation company closed the day at $9.55, with 210 shares traded.

The Ascendant Group Ltd. also fell by 4.36 percent (70 cents) to $15.35, as 20,000 shares changed hands.

Butterfield Bank's common shares were similarly down 2.22 percent (10 cents) at $4.40, with 1,800 shares transacted.

But Argus Group Holdings Ltd. bucked that trend, with its share price rising 1.26 percent (10 cents) to $8, as 5,096 shares were traded.

Overall the Exchange dropped by 39.6 points (1.79 percent) to 2,176.5, with 27,106 shares worth $365,408 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index advanced 15.28 points (1.79 percent) to 865.25.
