BNTB climbs again
Butterfield Bank was one of the busiest traders on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) last week.
The bank saw its preference shares rise by $25 (2.1 percent) in price to $1,220, with 552 shares traded, while its common shares advanced by 40 cents (9.1 percent) to $4.80, as 10,250 shares changed hands.
The Ascendant Group Ltd. increased its share price by $1.15 (7.5 percent) to $16.50, with 12,315 shares transacted.
Meanwhile, Keytech Ltd. fell 50 cents (5.6 percent) to $8.50, as 810 shares changed hands.
Other traders included Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (1,300 shares), Devonshire Industries Ltd. (200) and Bermuda Container Line Ltd. (40), but their share values all held firm.
Overall, the Index rose 77.9 points (3.45 percent) to 2,254.4, with 24,915 shares worth BD$253,305 transacted, and 10,562 shares worth US$767,980.50 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also climbed by 2.5 points (0.28 percent) to 880.86.
