Butterfield Bank's common shares dropped 6.66 percent (25 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 8,003 shares to close at $3.50.

BF&M Ltd. also saw 700 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $15.05.

The Index, as a whole, fell 43.68 points (2.11 percent) to 2,022.34, with 8,703 shares worth $39,361.25 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index slid 9.52 points (one percent) to 937.43.
