BNTB on the rise
Butterfield Bank's preference shares rose by $25 (2.08 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) on Wednesday.
A total of 428 shares were traded as the share price closed at $225.
The bank's common shares also increased their value by 20 cents (4.34 percent) to $4.80, as 6,400 shares changed hands.
The Ascendant Group Ltd., meanwhile, boosted its share price by $1.50 (10 percent) to $16.50, with 415 shares transacted, while Argus Group Holdings Ltd. rose 25 cents (3.22 percent) to $8, as 500 shares were traded.
KeyTech Ltd., however, saw its share value fall by 50 cents (5.55 percent) to $8.50, with 810 shares changing hands.
Overall, the Index was up 58.81 points (2.68 percent) at 2,254.4, as 8,125 shares worth BD$47,825, and 10,438 shares worth US$619,180.50 were transacted.
The BSX Insurance Index slid 2.5 points (0.28 percent) to 880.86.
