Butterfield Bank's share price rose 25 cents (4.8 percent) on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The bank closed on $5.45, with 68,100 shares traded.

Overall, the Index finished the day up 43.68 points (1.88 percent) at 2,361.95, as 68,100 shares worth $374,250 changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index also advanced 0.66 points (0.08 percent) to 820.91.
