Butterfield Bank's share price continued to decline on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The bank saw its share value drop five cents (0.76 percent) to $6.45, with 16,210 shares traded. So far, the bank's share price has fallen 38.28 percent for the year-to-date and has reached its lowest level since the start of 2003.

Overall, the Index slid 8.74 points (0.34 percent) to 2,566.8, as 16,210 shares worth $104,865 changing hands over the course of the day.

But the BSX Insurance Index rose 27.64 points (4.5 percent) to 641.33.
