Butterfield Bank rose 1.47 percent (five cents) to $3.45 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 3,900 shares, while BF&M Ltd. saw 620 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $15.05.

The Index, as a whole, rose 8.74 points (0.42 percent) to 2,073.25, with 4,520 shares worth BD$22,786 and 449 shares worth US$4,894.10 transacted.

The BSX Insurance rose 4.51 points (0.48 percent) to 942.56.
