Butterfield Bank rose 10 cents (2.5 percent) to $4.10 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 8,700 shares, while its also saw 18 preference shares change hands.

Overall, the Index was up 17.47 points (0.86 percent) to 2,048.71 with 8,700 shares worth BD$35,670 and 828 shares worth US$30.320 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index also advanced 1.3 points (0.13 percent) to 952.46.
