Butterfield Bank shares rose 7.1 percent (10 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank closed at $1.50, with 1,910 shares traded.

But Argus Group Holdings Ltd. fell 1.5 percent (10 cents) to $6.40, as 3,000 shares changed hands.

The only other traders included BF&M Ltd. (700 shares), KeyTech Ltd. (600) and the Ascendant Group Ltd. (400), but all of their shares prices held firm.

The Index, as a whole, was up 45.92 points (3.72 percent) to 1,279.57, with 6,610 shares worth $41,264 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, dropped seven points (0.78 percent) to 895.
