Butterfield Bank has dropped 2.85 percent (five cents) to $1.70 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 3,501 shares during the day.

The Ascendant Group Ltd. rose 20 cents (1.47 percent) to $13.80, with 2,300 shares changing hands.

The Index, as a whole, fell 22.11 points (1.59 percent) to 1,372.36, as 3,501 shares worth BD$5,374 and 2,795 shares worth US$36,615.75 were traded.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up two points (0.21 percent) at 946.
