Butterfield Bank's common shares dropped five cents (one percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 6,700 common shares to close at $4.95.

The only other trader was Watlington Waterworks, with 1,000 shares changing hands, but its share price held firm at $11.

Overall the Index fell 8.74 points (0.37 percent) to 2,358.47, as 7,700 shares worth BD$44,165 and 11,861 shares worth US$134,622.35 were transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, was up 31.56 points (3.32 percent) at 980.67.
