Butterfield Bank's common shares slid 10 cents (2.46 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The shares closed the day at $3.95, with 2,700 traded.

The only other trader was BF&M Ltd., which saw 2,500 shares change hands to finish up at $16.

Overall, the Index fell 17.47 points (0.83 percent) to 2,096.5, with 5,200 shares worth $50,665 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index slipped 11.08 points (1.12 percent) to 977.79.
