Butterfield Bank's common shares continued to drop further, falling by 35 cents (6.86 percent) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The shares closed the day at $4.75, with 25,239 shares traded.

The only other trader was the Ascendant Group Ltd., as 25 shares changed hands, but its share price held firm at $15.40.

Overall, the Index slid 61.16 points (2.66 percent) to 2,236.37, with 25,264 shares worth $102,275.55 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index also declined by 19.27 points (2.33 percent) to 805.91.
