BNTB sinks lower

Butterfield Bank's share price fell to a level not seen since the start of 2002, dropping 50 cents (7.93 percent) to $5.80 on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
The bank traded 5,820 shares, as did BF&M Ltd. (2,320 shares) and Keytech Ltd. (1,000), but their share prices both held firm.
Overall the Index declined 87.37 (3.46 percent) to 2,440.93, as 9,140 shares worth $81,190 changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index also dropped 4.89 points (0.67 percent) to 721.67.
