BSX falls 100 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) slipped 100.33 points (3.7 percent) to 2,704.3 last week.

The Index traded 26,920 shares worth $249,634.50 throughout the week.

The biggest movers and shakers were KeyTech Ltd., which fell 22.7 percent (2.95 points) to $10.05, Butterfield Bank, which dropped 15 cents (two percent) to $7.25, and BF&M Ltd., which ended the week down 10 cents (0.6 percent) at $16.

The one positive was Bermuda Aviation Services, which moved up 45 cents (8.9 percent) to $16, with 2,000 shares changing hands.

Other traders included Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (7,000 shares), Belco Holdings Ltd. (1,500) and Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. (1,300).

The BSX Insurance Index, however, closed the week up by 6.91 points (1.11 percent) at 628.3.
