BSX heads to 2,000

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday fell to its lowest level since December 2000.
The Index ended the day down 34.08 (1.67 percent) at 2,008.64, with 45,892 shares worth $184,188.50 traded.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd. slumped 12.85 percent (90 cents) to $6.10, as 1,547 shares changed hands.
The only other trader was Butterfield Bank, which transacted 44,345 shares, but its share value held firm at $4.10.
The BSX Insurance Index, meanwhile, closed up 8.74 points (1.13 percent) at 775.87.
