BSX holds its ground
It was a tough week's trading on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) last week.
No fewer than four companies saw their share prices decline, with only two advancing.
Belco Holdings Ltd. fell 25 cents (1.51 percent) to $16.25, with 1,066 shares traded, while LOM (Holdings) Ltd. dropped 10 cents (2.5 percent) to $3.90, as 10,500 shares changed hands. Argus Group Holdings Ltd. was also down 10 cents ($1) to $9.90, with 2,600 shares transacted.
Butterfield Bank lost out as well, falling 10 cents (0.9 percent) to $11, with 38,145 shares traded.
Gainers included Keytech Ltd. (up 45 cents) and BF&M Ltd. (up 25 cents). The only other trader was Bermuda Commercial Bank (13 shares), but its share price held firm.
The Index as a whole closed down 11.66 points (0.33 percent) at 3,509.69, with 55,824 shares worth $559.015.15 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index finished up 55.87 points (6.98 percent) at 855.17.
