The Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) recorded its first positive movement of 2010, rising 3.62 points (0.18 percent) to 2,030.89 yesterday.

The Index saw 10,100 shares worth $76,380 traded.

BF&M Ltd. was up 25 cents (1.66 percent) to $15.30, with 2,100 shares changing hands.

Butterfield Bank also transacted 5,000 common shares, but its share price held firm at $3.75.

The BSX Insurance Index rose by 0.04 points for the second straight day to 962.06.
