BSX plunges lower
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) plunged 157.94 points (7.86 percent) to 2,009.59 for the week.
During that time, the Index saw 90.341 shares worth $472,479.35 change hands.
Insurance was the hardest hit sector, with Argus Group Holdings Ltd.'s share price falling $1.40 (18.66 percent) to $6.10, with 4,047 shares traded, while BF&M Ltd. transacted 2,000 shares to close the week down five cents (0.32 percent) at $15.45.
KeyTech Ltd. slipped 15.78 percent ($1.50) to $8, as 4,000 shares changed hands, with Bermuda Aviation Services down 55 cents (9.9 percent) at $5, as 700 shares traded.
Butterfield Bank also dropped 40 cents (8.88 percent) to $4.10, with 74,569 shares transacted.
But Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. was up 50 cents (6.89 percent) at $7.75, with 2,000 shares traded, and Belco Holdings Ltd. rose 25 cents (1.66 percent) to $15.25, as 3,025 shares changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index closed up 6.45 points at 804.12 for the week.
