The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) opened and closed on 2,382.59 yesterday, with 61,568 shares worth $337,755.10 changing hands.

The only two companies to trade any shares were Butterfield Bank (61,538 shares) and BF&M Ltd. (30), but their share prices held firm at $5.50 and $15.65 respectively.

The BSX Insurance Index, however, closed up 7.16 points (one percent) at 721.97.
