BSX's busy week

It proved to be a week of highs and lows on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) last week.

The insurance sector was the strongest, with Argus Group Holdings Ltd. up 75 cents at $14.75, BF&M Ltd. rose 45 cents to $19.95.

KeyTech led the way with declining shares, dropping $2 to $12, while Kentucky Fried Chicken Bermuda Ltd. fell $1.20 to $6.05, and Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. slid 75 cents to $10.25.

Other traders included Butterfield Bank (26,091 shares) and Belco Holdings Ltd. (21 shares), but their share values remained the same.

As a whole, the Index dropped 26.13 points (0.57 percent) to 4,532.37, with a total of 32,126 shares worth $486,863.20 changing hands.

The BSX Insurance Index, in contrast, was up 20.36 points (2.16 percent) at 961.49.
