BSX's day of losses
It proved to be a day of losses on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday, with no fewer than four companies seeing their share prices decline.
Insurance was the hardest hit sector, as BF&M Ltd. and Argus Group Holdings Ltd. dropping 40 cents (2.28 percent) and 20 cents (2.1 percent) respectively.
Argus closed at $9.30, with 100 shares traded, while BF&M finished the day at $17.10, as 1,600 shares changed hands.
Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. also fell 50 cents (4.16 percent) to $11.50, with 2,200 shares transacted.
Butterfield Bank, meanwhile, declined 15 cents (1.6 percent) to $9.20, as 5,523 shares were traded.
Overall, the Index fell 40.62 points (1.28 percent) to 3,142.18, with 9,423 shares worth $104,545.05 changing hands.
The BSX Insurance Index dropped 2.38 points (0.31 percent) to 759.68.
