Butterfield climbs $1

Butterfield Bank was the only company to record a climb in its share price over last week as it closed up $1 at $16 on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX).

The bank traded 87,548 shares.

But three companies saw their share values decline, with BF&M Ltd. and MediaHouse Ltd. both dropping 75 cents, with 8,100 and 111 shares changing hands respectively.

KeyTech Ltd. completed the trio, falling 50 cents to $14, as 3,300 shares were transacted.

Other traders included Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. (17,460 shares), Belco Holdings Ltd. (200), Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (400), Watlington Waterworks Ltd. (86), Stevedoring Services Ltd. (50) and Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. (21).

As a whole, the Index was up 151.37 points (3.16 percent) at 5,382.06, with 117,276 shares worth $1,717,496 traded.
